Police have today confirmed that a man in his 60s has died after falling from a building on Moon Street in Plymouth late on Saturday (11 October).
Emergency services were called at around 11.40pm and a road closure was put in place while police, paramedics and firefighters responded.
An eyewitness told Plymouth Plus at the scene that they saw the man fall from a building and emergency services carry out lifesaving attempts.
A forensic tent was erected and scenes of crime officers attended during the night while the area remained cordoned off.
Police have since confirmed that a man from Plymouth aged in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for His Majesty's Coroner.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"We were called at 11.40pm on Saturday 11 October following a report of a concern for welfare for a man on Moon Street, Plymouth.
"It was reported he had fallen from a building.
"The ambulance service also attended and a road closure was put in place.
"Despite the efforts of the emergency services the man – in his 60s and from Plymouth - was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
