Police have issued an update after a man was found seriously injured in Torpoint on Saturday evening.
The area around Harvey Street and Elliot Square was cordoned off after the man was found with life threatening injuries.
Paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service rushed the man to Derriford Hospital.
A major investigation was launched with detectives and scenes of crime officers attending the scene.
Police say that their enquiries remain ongoing, although at this time it is not believed anybody else was involved.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"We were called at around 10.35pm on Saturday 28 March following a report of a man found injured in Harvey Street, Torpoint.
"The ambulance service also attended and took the man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"A scene guard was put in place but has since been released.
"Enquiries are ongoing. At this time it is not believed anybody else was involved in the incident."
