Drivers in Plymouth are facing long delays this afternoon after a serious crash has shut part Embankment Road in both directions.
Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 3pm following reports of a collision involving four vehicles at the junction with Lanhydrock Road. Traffic is backing up in both directions, with queues stretching from Old Laira Road down to Embankment Lane.
Embankment Road is one of the busiest routes in and out of Plymouth and the collision is causing significant disruption for anyone travelling through the city.
