# Serious incident unfolds near Plymouth port - recap

A serious incident has been unfolding at the Millbay Docks carpark this evening (8 June).

At least 10 police vehicles have attended the scene this evening including armed response officers and a dog unit.

It is understood that an officer pressed their distress button after reportedly being assaulted during a traffic stop. 

A man has been arrested at the scene and taken to Charles Cross police station custody suite. 

A black Peugeot 208 Active has been seized by police as a result of the incident.
