A serious police incident has closed a street in the Ernesettle area of Plymouth in the early hours of this morning.
Residents reported a significant emergency service presence on Agaton Street from around 2.30 am, with multiple police vehicles, paramedics and other response teams at the scene.
A a police cordon remains in place and Agaton Street is completely closed off to the public.
Devon and Cornwall Police have not yet confirmed the nature of the incident, but witnesses described seeing police tape blocking the road and officers guarding the area throughout the night.
