# Serious police incident unfolds in Plymouth’s Stoke Village

Police and detectives are at the scene of a serious ongoing incident on Devonport Road in Stoke Village, Plymouth. While the road remains open, multiple police cars, a police van and an ambulance are at the scene. 

Details of the nature of the incident are not yet confirmed, but police are understood to be investigating a serious matter that has required the attendance of response units, detectives and paramedics. 

An eyewitness, described the scale of the response saying: 

> "4 or 5 cop cars, a wagon, multiple mobile patrols from police and an ambulance in Stoke Village."
