A teenager accused of murdering a young man in Plymouth has pleaded not guilty during a court hearing.
Layton Randle, 19, appeared before Plymouth Crown Court today, Friday, 6 March, where he denied the charge of murdering Drew Perham.
Drew was reported missing after he was last seen leaving The Depo nightclub in the early hours of Saturday, 24 January.
Sadly, his body was discovered in the water at Millbay Marina the following day, Sunday, 25 January.
Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team at Devon and Cornwall Police launched an investigation.
During the hearing at Plymouth Crown Court, Randle confirmed his name and date of birth before entering a not guilty plea to the charge of murder.
Randle, of Oakfield Terrace Road in Plymouth, was remanded in custody following the hearing. A trial has been scheduled to begin on 10 August 2026.
