Two rival groups converged in Plymouth city centre yesterday evening, Sunday 7 September 2025, in a row over the flying of flags across the city.
Anti-fascist protesters met at the Sundial from 4pm before moving towards Royal Parade. Flag Force Plymouth supporters gathered by the pedestrian crossing near Poundland from 5pm.
Police deployed public order officers and vans to create a sterile area that separated that the groups and kept the evening largely peaceful.
Plymouth Plus provided moment-by-moment live updates from the ground which confirmed that there were no arrests, although a juvenile was detained and taken home by police.
