A third person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after handing himself in at Charles Cross police station, following the death of Drew Perham.

Police have confirmed that the man, aged 19 and from Plymouth, was arrested today, as part of the murder investigation into the death of the 24-year-old.

Detectives launched a murder enquiry after Drew, from Plymouth, was reported missing on Saturday, 24 January, when he failed to return home from a night out.

His body was sadly found in the water at Millbay Marina during searches on the afternoon of Sunday, 25 January.

Two other 19-year-old men remain in police custody on suspicion of murder. One is from Plymouth and the other is from Exmouth.

A 36-hour warrant for further detention was obtained by police yesterday at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court for the Plymouth man who was arrested on Sunday.

The man from Exmouth also remains in custody after a Superintendent’s extension was authorised to detain him for a further 12 hours.

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team are continuing their extensive enquiries into Drew’s death, across parts of Plymouth.
