Three people have denied murdering Plymouth man Danny Cahalane, who died ten weeks after suffering devastating injuries from a sulphuric acid attack.
Danny Cahalane, 38, was attacked at his front door on Lipson Road during the early hours of 21 February 2025.
He endured life-changing injuries and underwent more than ten surgeries while in hospital, but sadly passed away on 3 May 2025, just weeks before what would have been his 39th birthday.
In a hearing at Plymouth Crown Court today, Paris Wilson, 34, Israel Augustus, 25, and Isanah Sungum, 21, denied murdering Mr Cahalane.

Wilson became visibly emotional and cried as the charge was read out. Augustus also faces additional allegations linked to drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon, described in court as a "zombie knife." He also denies these charges.
The investigation, known as Operation Lobpass, has drawn support from the National Crime Agency, the Metropolitan Police, and Wiltshire Police. In total, nine individuals are facing various charges related to Mr Cahalane’s death.
Among them:
- Paris Wilson, 34, of Plymouth, denies participating in organised crime, conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm, and murder.
- Israel Augustus, 25, of Tottenham, London, denies charges including participating in organised crime, aggravated burglary, possession of bladed articles, being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs, and murder.
