# Three people seriously injured after two vehicle crash on A38 to Plymouth

A serious crash closed the A38 towards Plymouth last night after a two vehicle collision.

The dual carriageway was closed in the eastbound direction after a crash at Lower Clicker near [Liskeard](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/liskeard/).

Firefighters freed the casualties from the vehicles so that paramedics could treat them. 

Flying medics from The [Cornwall Air Ambulance](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/cornwall-air-ambulance/) were also sent to the scene.

The crash involved two vehicles and the crash barrier. A spokesperson for [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) told Plymouth Plus:

> "We were called at 9.30pm last night \[2 December\] to the A38 at Lower Clicker, following a report of a collision involving two vehicles and the crash barrier.

> "The road was closed while emergency service attended and three people were checked by paramedics – they sustained injuries which were treated as serious but not life-threatening or changing.

> "The cars were recovered and the road cleared shortly after midnight."
