A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision involving a lorry in Plymouth this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to Tavistock Road shortly before 2pm after reports of the collision, which left the busy route completely blocked.
Police have now confirmed that a male motorcyclist sustained injuries in the crash. Thankfully, they are not believed to be life changing or life threatening. The man was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance.
Drivers faced long delays as police shut the road in both directions while fire, police and paramedics worked together at the scene. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes while the incident was being dealt with.
