A woman has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly after causing a disturbance in Plymouth city centre, police have confirmed.
Police were called to Royal Parade at around 8.40pm on Thursday 22 May following reports of a woman acting erratically and allegedly trying to assault members of the public.
The woman, in her 40s and from the Torquay area, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

She remains in police custody while enquiries continue. A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Police were called at 8.40pm on Thursday 22 May following reports Of a woman behaving erratically on Royal Parade in Plymouth.
"The woman was being abusive and acting aggressively towards members of the public, attempting to assault them.
"Officers attended.
"A woman in her 40s from Torquay was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place. She remains in police custody."
