Woman named and charged after 'violent' incident erupts at Plymouth Co-op store

A woman has been charged after an alleged violent incident at a Co-op store in Plymouth.

Jessie-May Turpin, 31, of Lipson Road, Plymouth, has been charged with criminal damage, theft from a shop, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and three counts of common assault.

She was remanded in custody to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today Monday, 23 March.

​The charges relate to an incident which occurred on Saturday, 21 March at the Co-op store on Wilton Street in Plymouth.
