A woman has been taken to hospital after a dramatic crash this morning left a car overturned on its side at the Tamar Bridge toll booths in Plymouth.
Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 10am on Monday, 23 June, following reports of a single-vehicle collision. The car ended up on its side near the toll booths, prompting a swift multi-agency response.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews all attended the incident.
Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that the woman was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be released by firefighters. She was then taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital to be assessed for any injuries.
There are currently no reports of any serious injuries.
Traffic on the bridge remains open with no further lane closures confirmed, though drivers are being urged to proceed with caution due to emergency service presence at the scene.
