A large emergency service response was seen outside of the pub.
At least three police cars and an ambulance were sent to the Firkin Dog House in Stonehouse after a woman sustained head and facial injuries.
Police say they were called to reports of a ‘disorder’ at the licenced premises on Union Street.
The woman was taken to Derriford Hospital by land ambulance.
An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"We were called at around 9.20pm on Tuesday 9 December following a report of disorder at a licenced premises on Union Street, Plymouth.
"Officers attended and found a woman injured. She was taken to hospital to be checked over having sustained head and facial injuries. Enquiries into the matter are ongoing."
