Young man dies following ‘medical episode’ at property in Plymouth

A 23-year-old man has died following a ‘medical episode’ at a property in Plymouth last night.

Emergency services were called to the property on Salisbury Road in St Judes at 7.15pm on Sunday, 28 December.

Flying medics from the Devon Air Ambulance were sent to the scene and landed in nearby Tothill Park.

The South Western Ambulance Service sent two double crewed land ambulances and an operations officer to the scene.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for His Majesty’s Coroner.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:

"Officers were called at 7.15pm on Sunday 28 December following concern for the welfare of a man at an address in Salisbury Road, Plymouth.
"Ambulance also attended.
"Despite the best efforts of emergency services the man in his 20s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
