Armed police have descended on a busy residential street in Plymouth this evening.
Kit Hill Crescent in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth has been closed as a result.
A huge police presence is currently in the area, with at least a dozen police vehicles engaged in the operation.
It is understood that specialist police negotiators are negotiating with an occupant of a residential property.
