A major emergency response was launched in Plymouth this morning after a concern for welfare incident.
Police and paramedics were called to Mutley Plain Lane at 7.30am following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Devon and Cornwall Police have now confirmed that the woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
