Armed police and negotiators were called to a Plymouth street last night after a man inside a property made threats to harm.
Police were called at 6pm on Tuesday, 23 December to Kit Hill Crescent in the St Budeaux area of the city.
A large police presence was seen on the street as armed officers attended alongside a police negotiator and public order officers.

Police successfully negotiated with the man who was in possession of a knife, and he safely came out of the property at around 9.45pm.
A 40-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to damage or destroy property. He remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Police were called at 6pm to the area of Kit Hill Crescent on Tuesday 23 December, to reports of concerns for a man in a property who had made threats to harm.
"Armed officers, supported by a police negotiator and public order officers attended the address, where the man was in possession of a knife.
"The man engaged with officers and safely came out of the property at around 9.45pm.
"A 40-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of making threats to damage or destroy property. He remains in police custody."
