Two RNLI lifeboats are responding to an emergency incident in Plymouth Sound this evening.
Both the all-weather lifeboat and the inshore lifeboat have launched from Plymouth RNLI station and are actively attending the incident.
The nature of the incident is not yet known. HM Coastguard has been contacted for comment, and this live blog will be updated as soon as more details become available.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing the lifeboat respond to an emergency near the Breakwater.
