A fire has broken out at a restaurant on the Plymouth Barbican this afternoon (3 May).
Three fire appliances from Greenbank and Camels Head were sent to the scene, along with Greenbank’s aerial ladder platform and a fire officer.
The fire occurred on a cooking range in the kitchen of the Platters Pasta Bar and Grill restaurant. test
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confrimed that crews wearing breathing apparatus used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire.
A positive pressure ventilation unit was also used at the scene to help clear smoke from the property.
Platters has confirmed to Plymouth Plus that nobody was injured in the fire and that they will open as normal tomorrow.
