Fire rips through Plymouth home as five fire engines rush to the scene

A fire ripped through a house in Plymouth last night Friday (3 July).

Emergency services were called to the residential property on Kit Hill Crescent in St Budeaux at around 10.30pm.

Kit Hill Crescent and Barn Road were closed while police, paramedics and firefighters responded.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service sent at least five appliances to the scene, with crews working to bring the fire under control.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the fire, which was fully extinguished at around 11.15pm.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed and we are awaiting a statement from the fire service.
