A lamppost has been yeeted into retirement in Plymouth this afternoon.
It comes after a Plymouth Electrical Centre van crashed into it on Caroline Place in Millbay.
The driver of the van was taken to Derriford Hospital as a precautionary measure, but has not sustained any serious injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police remain at the scene this afternoon alongside National Grid and Plymouth City Council highways.
Workers have made the broken electricity cables to the lamppost safe, and the road will remain closed while a new lamppost is installed.
