Police update after emergency incident in Plymouth was 'not as first reported'

Police have issued an update after an emergency response was seen in Stoke Village this afternoon Tuesday, November 4.

Police, paramedics and a doctors car were seen on Mount Pleasant Terrace in Stoke just after 3pm today.

Police have confirmed to Plymouth Plus the incident was not as first reported and that there is no wider risk to the public.

A spokesperon for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:

"We attended a report of a possible assault on Devonport Road, however it was not as first reported, and the person had sustained an injury after a fall at home. They have been taken to hospital by ambulance crews."

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service told Plymouth Plus:

“We were called at 14:33hrs on Tuesday 04 November to a medical incident in Plymouth. We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, and a doctor to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Derriford Hospital.”
