A suspected drink driver has been arrested after a dramatic pursuit in Plymouth overnight.
Officers pursued the suspect through parts of St Budeaux, with dozens of local units flocking to the area in an attempt to bring the car to a stop.
Skilled officers deployed a stinger, a type of device used by police to puncture the tyres of a fleeing vehicle, forcing it to slow down.
A nearby bus blocked alternative routes, forcing the car to drive straight through the stinger.
These efforts were successful and the car was eventually brought safely to a stop by police on Fletemoor Road.
