Armed police officers were seen carrying out an operation on a busy high street this afternoon (2 August).
A number of Specialist Firearms Officers (SFOs) attended The Ridgeway, where they appeared to be engaging with the occupants of a white Mercedes.
Plymouth Plus understands that the Specialist Operations Tactical Firearms Team took part in the pre-planned operation in Plympton.
There is not believed to be any wider risk to the public, and further details will follow once Devon and Cornwall Police release a statement.
