A woman in distress was rescued from a roof by firefighters in Plymouth yesterday afternoon (17 September).
Durnford Street was closed for several hours after the woman was in distress on the roof of the three-storey building.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said:
"At 2.48pm an appliance from Crownhill Fire Station and an aerial ladder platform from Greenbank Fire Station attended Durnford Street in Plymouth, where a person was on the roof of a three-storey residential building and in distress.
"Crews used the aerial ladder platform to reach them, bring them safely down to street level, and hand them into the care of the police."
