The serious police incident at Saltash Passage, near the Ferry House Inn, has now come to an end.
Armed officers and multiple police units have left the scene after a large-scale response yesterday evening.
At least four police vehicles, including an armed response unit, were seen in the area.
One ambulance attended earlier in the night but left shortly after. Officers had been positioned along the waterfront and appeared to be waiting for a specific individual or team to arrive.
