A major emergency response unfolded in Plymouth this evening (28 August) following a medical emergency requiring a bariatric rescue.
At least three ambulances, fire and police, responded to the incident at Basket Ope on the Barbican.
One fire appliance, alongside an aerial ladder platform and technical rescue adviser, assisted the ambulance service with casualty extraction.
