A child has been brought to safety following a concern for welfare incident on Plymouth Hoe.

Police, paramedics, HM Coastguard and the RNLI were all called to the scene this afternoon (20 May).

The child was in a precarious position on the cliff edge near the Hoe Cannons while negotiations took place.

Thankfully, the child has now been brought to safety and is in the care of healthcare professionals.
