'Drunk' man threatens shop worker with glass bottle after being refused alcohol

A shop worker was threatened with a glass bottle after she refused to serve alcohol to an intoxicated customer.

Police were called at around 9.10pm on Friday, April 10, to the Morrisons Daily store on Southway Drive.

It was alleged that a man who was holding a glass bottle had made threats towards a member of staff.

The suspect, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident, left the scene before officers arrived.

It is understood that the incident happened after the member of staff refused to sell alcohol to the customer.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
