Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Plymouth city centre

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two men pictured in connection with a serious sexual assault in Plymouth.

UPDATE: Police have identified two men they wanted to speak to in connection with a report of sexual assault in Plymouth on Sunday 29 June.

It follows a photo appeal issued by Devon and Cornwall Police on Monday 30 June.

A woman was sexually assaulted after leaving a nightclub in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday 29 June, police have confirmed.

CCTV images have been released of two men police wish to speak to, as they may hold vital information that could assist with enquiries.

As part of the appeal, investigators are also looking to identify any witnesses who may have seen a distressed woman with long blonde hair, dressed in black, between 8am and 9am that morning

She was seen walking through central Plymouth, from Old Town Street, down New George Street and into Cornwall Street, and was asking members of the public for directions.

Police are urging anyone who may recognise the men pictured or who saw the woman in distress to come forward.
