A young person was brought to safety after a significant emergency response on Laira Bridge last night.
Police, paramedics, HM Coastguard and the RNLI all attended the concern for welfare incident involving a young person.
Emergency services were called to the bridge at 9.46pm, with volunteers from both the Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI rushing to the scene.
The RNLI Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat, Annabel E Jones, made its way to the scene from its base at Millbay Marina.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said:
"At 9.46pm this evening, HM Coastguard attended an incident at Laira Bridge, Plymouth.
"Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team attended, along with RNLI Plymouth lifeboat and Devon and Cornwall Police. The incident concluded at around 11pm."
