A £100,000 Audi R8 has been seized after a wild police chase last night across parts of Cornwall including Saltash, Millbrook and Torpoint.
The high-powered vehicle was seen driving dangerously before failing to stop for officers, triggering a pursuit that involved multiple police units and the police helicopter.
During the chase, the Audi rammed a police car and a police van, causing damage to both. It then crashed into a shop before fleeing the Polperro area.

Witnesses reported heavy police presence and low-flying helicopter activity over several locations during the evening.
At one stage, officers were preparing to deploy stingers on the Tamar Bridge in an effort to stop the fleeing vehicle.

The vehicle was later discovered abandoned in Saltash and has since been seized by officers. Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.
Police have confirmed the Audi R8 was not reported as stolen. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting log 981 of 19 June.
