Officers on routine patrol came across an abandoned car during the early this morning (5 September).
The car, a black Mercedes-Benz E-Class AMG S, was left obstructing Laira Bridge Road during the early hours.
Strangely, the car's tyres were deflated and the key for the vehicle had been left in the ignition.
A search of the vehicle was carried out by officers, which led to the discovery of alcohol inside.
At least three police units attended the scene alongside a dog unit, which searched the area for a suspect.
The vehicle was later recovered and police enquiries into the matter remain ongoing.
