Armed police arrest man seen with ‘knife’ in Plymouth

Armed police have arrested a man after a report of a person seen with a 'knife' in Plymouth.

Armed officers attended the scene on Clarence Place in Stonehouse alongside a dog unit and response officers.

​Police were called at around 4.40pm yesterday afternoon (6 May), following a report of a person believed to have been in possession of a knife.

Officers attended the area to carry out enquiries and located a weapon which has been seized.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a 37-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place.
