Child ‘seriously injured’ after being hit by car in Plymouth

A child has been left with potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car in Plymouth this afternoon (31 August).

Emergency services were called to St Pancras Avenue after a red Volvo V40 hit a child at the Tintagel Crescent junction.

The child, who is understood to be a boy, was taken to Derriford Hospital with potentially serious injuries.

Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team (RPT) are now at the scene conducting a serious collision investigation.
