Man taken to safety from wrong side of Tamar Bridge

Emergency services responded to a concern for welfare incident on the Tamar Bridge this evening (25 June).

Police, paramedics, firefighters, HM Coastguard and the RNLI rushed to the scene after a man was seen on the wrong side of the bridge.

Negotiations took place at the scene and the man came back from the wrong side of the railings at around 7.30pm.
