Plymouth is heading to the polls today in a major local election which could reshape the balance of power at Plymouth City Council.
Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm, with 19 wards being contested and votes counted overnight at Plymouth Life Centre after polls close.
Voters must bring an accepted photo ID if voting in person. You do not need your poll card to vote, but it is useful to bring it because it shows your polling station.
Labour currently controls Plymouth City Council, which is made up of 39 Labour councillors, seven Conservatives, six Independents, two Greens, two Reform UK councillors and one Liberal Democrat.
