Two people have been arrested after a man in his 30s was found with multiple stab wounds on a cul-de-sac in Plymouth last night.
Armed police and paramedics flooded Kenley Gardens in Ernesettle at around 9.45pm on Thursday 16 April.
It was reported that a man in his 30s was found with stab wounds and was treated at the scene before being taken to Derriford Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"Police were called to the Ernesettle area at 9.45pm on Thursday 16 April, following a report that a man in the street, in the Kenley Gardens area, had been located with stab wounds.
"Police units, including armed officers, deployed to the area to carry out searches and enquiries.
"The victim, a man in his 30s, had sustained multiple wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
"A 53-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
"A 44-year-old woman from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They both remain in police custody at this time.
"The community will see an increased police presence as scene guards remain in place while the investigation continues this morning.
"Detectives are currently treating this as an isolated incident and those involved are believed to be known to each other.
