A man has been named and charged after a dramatic police chase across Plymouth.
Jake Nuttall, aged 32, of no fixed abode, Plymouth, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road accident and driving without insurance.
He has also been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when directed by police and breaching bail conditions.
It comes after a blue Suzuki Swift failed to stop for officers in the Plymouth City Centre area on Sunday (25 May).
The pursuit involved roads policing officers, armed response officers, a dog unit, and the police helicopter as the vehicle was pursued across the city.
The chase eventually came to an end on Looseleigh Lane, where the vehicle was brought to a safe stop.
A male suspect fled from the car before being found in a nearby garden and arrested at the scene.
Nuttall has been remanded into custody after appearing before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on 27 May.
He will next appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 25 June.
