Danny Cahalane’s ex wife has been found guilty of manslaughter after his death following a horrific acid attack at his home in Plymouth.
Mr Cahalane, 38, suffered catastrophic injuries after he was splashed with highly concentrated sulphuric acid at his home on Lipson Road in the early hours of 21 February 2025.
He died at a hospital in Bristol on 3 May 2025, ten weeks after the attack.
The trial heard Mr Cahalane was targeted because of a significant drug debt owed to Dubai-based drugs boss Ryan Kennedy, also known as Frost.

Because of the number of defendants involved, the trial could not be heard in Plymouth and was instead held at Winchester Crown Court, where proceedings lasted around 15 weeks.
One of the men found guilty of murder today was captured on CCTV walking through the Wiltshire village of Grittleton after the acid attack, the court heard.
A vehicle carrying Israel Augustus had broken down on the M4 as it travelled away from Plymouth after the attack, jurors were told.

Prosecutor Ms Joanna Martin KC described the getaway as a “comedy”, with the “worst getaway car in the country” being used.
Jurors were sent out to consider their verdicts on 22 April 2026 before returning their decisions today, 14 May 2026.
